Apricot Seeds – Side Effects and Possible Health Benefits (Cancer Cure):

An apricot kernel is the seed of an apricot. Apricots, scientifically known as Prunus armeniaca, are closely related to plums. Fresh apricot kernels are white, and their skin becomes light brown when dried out.

There are two major varieties of apricot kernel: the bitter apricot kernel and the sweet apricot kernel.

Sweet kernels have a less overpowering taste, are better for snacking, and have less amygdalin, but the bitter apricot has, as its name suggests, a very off-putting bitter flavor and has long been claimed to be a natural treatment for curing cancer.

Maximum capacities will vary based on individual circumstances. For actual cancer patients, it is recommended 2 to 3 times more. Some specialists say one kernel for every 10 lbs of body weight.

Side effects of apricot seeds

Taken in excess, these seeds may produce symptoms of cyanide poisoning, including headaches, nausea, fever, rash, insomnia, weakness, increased thirst, nervousness, lethargy, various aches and pains in muscles and joints, and a drop in blood pressure.

This may happen because when amygdalin is consumed, it converts to cyanide in the body, which is a fast-acting, potentially deadly chemical. Some studies suggest that 0.5-3.5 milligrams of cyanide per kilogram of body weight can be potentially lethal.

More importantly, cyanide prevents the cells in the human body from using oxygen, which kills them, but this mechanism also kills the cancer cells.

It is considered that eating 50-60 apricot seeds would deliver a lethal dose of cyanide. Moreover, pregnant or breastfeeding women should not consume these seeds. Also, according to EFSA – the European Food Safety Authority, these seeds are dangerous for children.

Note

Grinding, soaking, and cooking the bitter kernels in water is said to reduce the bitterness and levels of amygdalin.

  1. I also drink 1/8 tsp of borax in a liter of water every day and consume 4-5 apricot kernels a day. I was wondering the same thing. Been doing this for 4 days now, so I hope it’s safe.

  2. I was eating 5-6 a day and was getting dizzy. But don’t know if the dizziness is from the apricot seeds. Does anybody else get dizzy?

    • I’ve been eating about 9 a day and have been getting dizzy too. I wasn’t sure if it was emfs making me dizzy or something else. Yesterday my heart was racing, my limbs felt tingly and I was dizzy, I felt like I was going to faint. I had to call my husband home from work. I have no clue if it’s the seeds so I’m taking a break. My husband thought it may be stress. Anyhow just my experience.

  4. I consume 30-60 apricot kernels per day, plus a 500mg amygdalin supplement per day, as part of my cancer-fighting regimen, and have been doing so for a long time. Not only am I still alive after taking this “lethal” substance, my cancer is diminishing, thanks to my entire regimen. Anyone who says apricot kernels are dangerous does not know what they’re talking about.

  5. I was diagnosed with aggressive malignant prostate cancer in 2019. I refused radiation and the removal of my prostate. I’ve been taking Graviola for almost a year which also has amygdalin in it. Around 3 months ago a friend told me about apricot kernels. Within 2 weeks I was taking 60 per day with no negative side effects. At the beginning of the article they mention the Hunzas taking 30-50 per day and they live to be over 100 and some father children at 90!

  6. A good friend’s brother had prostate cancer and cured himself eating apricot seeds. Later, my friend developed melanoma on his earlobe He took his brother’s advise and began eating apricot seeds. The melanoma went away, leaving only a scar on his ear. He told me about this just before I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. I began eating 24 seeds a day; 12 on my cereal in the morning and 12 more on my salad at lunch or dinner. It’s been six years and I have had biopsies that showed disappearance of tumors and no growth of any of them. I’ve had no side effects. I am very active and ride my road bicycle over 1000 miles a year.

  8. My son will be having brain surgery in 2 1/2 weeks to remove a brain tumor. Does anyone know if these can be taken right up until surgery? Do you know if they thin the blood?
